Alvin Tan on managing free-roaming dogs in Singapore
The Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) works with partners on the Trap-Neuter-Rehome/Release-Manage (TNRM) Programme to manage free-roaming dogs in Singapore. It is looking at ways to improve collaboration, which has been in place since 2018. In cases where public safety is at risk, AVS intervenes quickly, carrying out operations in line with global standards. Minister of State for National Development Alvin Tan said this in parliament on Monday (Jan 12) in reply to an MP’s questions.
