Budget 2022 debate: Cheryl Chan on managing rising cost of living in the long term

Adopt a whole-of-Government or even a whole-of-society approach to manage inflation and the rising cost of living in a more holistic and sustainable manner, said MP Cheryl Chan. Speaking in Parliament on Monday (Feb 28), she suggested a multi-pronged approach. This should include strengthening resiliency in critical supply chains, increasing workers’ abilities to have more active incomes, even after retirement, as well as being prudent in the Government's use of funds and resources to solve Singapore's problems.
