Business competitiveness alliance makes 27 recommendations on manpower, land use and regulations
Businesses are calling for work permit requirements to be expanded to allow them to source for highly skilled workers from more countries. It's part of 27 suggestions put forth by the Alliance for Action on Business Competitiveness. The alliance, which is made up of public and private sector representatives, released the report after a nine-month review. The recommendations focused on three key pillars: Manpower, land and regulations. Singapore Business Federation CEO Kok Ping Soon and Mr Keith Tan, Deputy Secretary of Industry at the Trade and Industry Ministry, shared more about their engagement sessions with business and trade leaders.
