Cai Yinzhou on National Council of Social Service (Amendment) Bill
The ethos of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) is to unite communities for an inclusive and caring society, said MP Cai Yinzhou. Its board should therefore represent not just a diversity of sectors but also individuals of different genders, age groups, ethnic backgrounds, experience and skill sets. Mr Cai asked what mechanisms will be in place to ensure this. He also wanted to know if social enterprises will be eligible to be NCSS members and if not, how the council plans to better support them. He spoke in parliament on Tuesday (Jan 13).
