Committee of Supply 2022 debate, Day 4: Janet Ang on sustainability in Singapore's DNA

03:21 Min

Businesses will need support to be brought up to speed on sustainability, said NMP Janet Ang in Parliament on Monday (Mar 7). With the fast and furious race to create competitive green supply chains to stay relevant in the global economy, she wanted to know how the Government is planning to create competitive green supply chains out of Singapore. She pointed out that financial support for the green transition is critical for businesses, and asked if the Government would consider providing targeted tax incentives or rebates to small- and medium-sized businesses as a measure of their progress in sustainability adoption.
