Committee of Supply 2024 debate, Day 4: Darryl David on ITE Progression Award
The Institute of Technical Education (ITE) has evolved significantly to meet the changing needs of Singapore's economy and workforce, said MP Darryl David. Speaking in Parliament on Monday (Mar 4), he said this evolution reflects Singapore’s shift towards a knowledge-based economy and the growing demand for skilled workers. He wanted to know if the Government could consider allowing the ITE Progression Award for diploma programmes in other institutions and even for professionally certified courses provided by reputable Private Education Institutions.
