Committee of Supply 2024 debate, Day 4: Louis Ng on more climate support for businesses
Achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 must be a whole-of-nation effort that involves businesses, said MP Louis Ng. Speaking in Parliament on Monday (Mar 4), he pointed out that businesses are optimistic about the green economy but may lack the guidance needed to take concrete steps to transition. He asked if the Government can proactively reach out to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on accessing and utilising the funds available. He also called for more support to SMEs to translate the funding into concrete actions on the ground.
