Committee of Supply 2026 debate, Day 2: Alex Yeo on combating scams in the community and youth and drug abuse

The scam situation remains extremely concerning and combating scams must remain a top priority, said MP Alex Yeo. Speaking in parliament on Friday (Feb 27), he wanted to know how the government plans to work with regional partners to combat transnational scams and recover more scam proceeds. He also asked if there are plans to strengthen legislative levers to tackle scams. Turning to the situation on drug abuse, Mr Yeo wanted to know how the government would ensure that youths are not influenced by global trends and liberal drug approaches.
