Gan Siow Huang on support by schools to protect children against abuse
The safety of students is of utmost importance, said Minister of State for Education Gan Siow Huang. Replying to an MP’s question in Parliament on Monday (Mar 20), she outlined ways in which students learn about personal safety and how they can protect themselves against abuse. Schools have also instituted peer support structures to teach students how to look out for one another and to inform trusted adults when they see signs of distress.
