Home Team to ramp up efforts, tools to prepare for future challenges
The Home Team is ramping up its efforts and tools to stay ahead of new and changing challenges in future. For example, Second Home Affairs Minister Josephine Teo cited the Singapore Prison Service's efforts to automate labour- and time-intensive tasks, such as urine collection and testing. Other efforts include expanding the coverage of police cameras. Over 200,000 of these will be installed islandwide by the mid-2030s, with older cameras progressively replaced. Meanwhile, a new version of the Singapore Civil Defence Force's myResponder app will be out by this year.
