The SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) top-up can be used for more than 7,000 courses, of which about 700 full-time training programmes qualify for the training allowance. As of July 2025, there are about 330 SkillsFuture Career Transition Programmes (SCTPs) offered in 21 sectors with good hiring opportunities. The take-up rate of the level-up programme has been positive. In the first year of implementation from May 1 of 2024 to Apr 30 of 2025, more than 36,000 Singapore Citizens used their SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career), with claims amounting to more than S$24 million. The number of individuals taking SCTPs increased by about six times from around 1,500 to 8,500, compared with the same period in the preceding year. Those who used SkillsFuture credits for full qualifications increased by about 2.5 times - from about 3,000 to around 7,000. Senior Minister of State for Education Janil Puthucheary gave this update in reply to MPs’ questions in parliament on Thursday (Sep 25).
