Lee Hong Chuang on Singapore Sports Council (Amendment) Bill
As participation in sports and physical activities grows and diversifies in Singapore, demand for resources will increase, said MP Lee Hong Chuang. He offered three proposals to address this - a clear, outcome-based resource framework to maximise social impact; stronger cross-sector collaboration among schools, community clubs, sports bodies and private partners to share resources and facilities effectively; and targeted and fast expansion of high-growth activities with strong public health benefits. Mr Lee spoke in parliament on Wednesday (Jan 14).
