Long Island project to have minor impact on environment but longer-term ecological questions remain

According to a new environmental study, preparatory works for Singapore's major Long Island coastal protection project are expected to have an overall minor impact on the surrounding environment. But conservation groups say some longer-term ecological questions remain. They say researchers will need to monitor how the displacement of marine life affects the wider ecosystem over time.
