Lorry cranes in Singapore must have stability systems from 2025 to eliminate toppling risk
Newly registered lorry cranes in Singapore must install a stability control system from 2025. This aims to eliminate the risk of lorry cranes toppling and improve workplace safety. There were 14 dangerous cases involving such vehicles in the past four years, resulting in two deaths. The Manpower Ministry estimated that six in 10 incidents in the past decade could have been prevented if a stability system had been installed. A grant will allow owners of  lorry cranes to claim up to 70% of the costs of stability control systems. Each business entity can claim a maximum of $20,000.
