Low Yen Ling on managing rising fuel costs
The Government will review the fuel retail market to see if there are other ways to ease the pressure on fuel prices. It is providing targeted assistance to the groups hardest hit by rising fuel costs and will not hesitate to provide more assistance if required. Minister of State for Trade and Industry Low Yen Ling said this in Parliament on Tuesday (Jul 5), in reply to MPs’ questions. She said the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore monitors the fuel market closely and will not hesitate to investigate and take firm action against anti-competitive behaviour.
