In a 2020 study, Enterprise Singapore sampled 129 companies on the impact of the Productivity Solutions Grant and found that more than 80 per cent of projects had yielded cost savings, time savings and revenue gains. The top three sectors to benefit were retail, food and beverage, and construction. Minister of State for Trade and Industry Low Yen Ling said the data is still being looked at and more details will be shared in due course. She was answering MPs’ questions in Parliament on Wednesday (Oct 5). Ms Low said the Government conducts regular studies on the impact of its grant schemes. In its annual Year-in-Review, Enterprise Singapore also publishes indicators such as committed value-add and projected skilled jobs creation that measure the economic impact of grant projects undertaken by businesses.
