MOE takes legal action against contractors over Mobile Guardian cybersecurity breach
The Education Ministry has taken legal action against the contractors of Mobile Guardian, following two cybersecurity breaches that affected over 100,000 students, staff and parents. Meanwhile, the exams board said 52 O-Level Art candidates who lost parts of their coursework can apply for special consideration. MOE has terminated its contract with Mobile Guardian and is considering other options, including rolling out a new device management app by the next school year. Mobile Guardian was used to limit screen time and block access to undesirable content on personal learning devices.
