Paris Olympics: City hit by train sabotage; possible wet weather ahead of opening ceremony

03:18 Min

The mayor of Paris says the opening of the 2024 Olympics will be unaffected by acts of vandalism that have disrupted rail travel in the French capital. But there may be rain that could dampen the city's ambitious riverside ceremony. But even if it pours, the ceremony will proceed as planned, alongside a heavy security presence on the banks of the Seine River. Tens of thousands of officers will be guarding the area, as Paris welcomes about 300,000 spectators on Jul 26.
