Poh Li San on moving towards a low-carbon society
The transition towards the green economy is like a "fast-paced mass marathon". It is a race against time to mitigate the climate emergency and it has to be sustained over the long term, said MP Poh Li San as she launched the debate on a motion by the Government Parliamentary Committee for Sustainability and the Environment on climate change in Parliament on Wednesday (Jan 12). She urged Singaporeans to work together as a closely coordinated team, along with the Government, civil society groups and community to press ahead on the journey towards a low-carbon and green ecosystem.
