Rahayu Mahzam on expected healthcare cost savings from Healthier SG
Healthier SG is the "correct policy" to focus on to reduce the prevalence of diseases as Singapore's population ages, said Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Health Rahayu Mahzam. Replying to an MP's question in Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 14) on the expected overall cost savings of the healthcare budget as a result of pursuing the Healthier SG initiative, Ms Rahayu said it is too early to give a robust budgetary estimate as the work has just begun. She said the focus now is getting everyone on board and making sure everyone understands and buys into the mission's objectives.
