Rahayu Mahzam on healthcare investments against cancer
Advances in healthcare have led to earlier cancer detection and better treatment, as well as lowered cancer mortality but more work needs to be done, especially in prevention. These include modifying risk factors, encouraging vaccinations that reduce the risk of specific cancers and detecting the onset of cancer early. Minister of State for Health Rahayu Mahzam highlighted these strategies in reply to an MP’s questions in parliament on Tuesday (Feb 24).
