Muslim organisations and opposition parties in India are fighting a new law on how properties donated by Muslims are managed in the country. The government has said the Waqf Amendment Act will help to reduce corruption and mismanagement. Petitions challenging the law have been pouring into the Supreme Court, and a hearing is scheduled for next week.
