Seah Kian Peng on Committee of Privileges outcomes for Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap and Pritam Singh

The Public Prosecutor has decided not to prefer any charges against MP Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap for his refusal to answer relevant questions put to him by the Committee of Privileges. Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh retains his seat in parliament following his conviction and fine of S$7,000 for each of the two charges he was convicted of. The fine of S$10,000 for disqualification is for a single offence and not the cumulative sentences of two offences. Speaker of Parliament Seah Kian Peng informed the House of these outcomes in parliament on Tuesday (Feb 18).
