Singapore reclaims top spot in world competitiveness ranking
Singapore has reclaimed its position as the world's most competitive economy, according to a study by academic institute IMD. Over 6,000 business leaders rated Singapore out of 70 economies. They cited factors such as higher productivity and efficiency, a strong labour market, as well as good attitudes and values locally. IMD said Singapore's stability and ability to diversify its economy have positioned it to withstand geopolitical volatility and attract investment from global institutions. CNA spoke to the IMD World Competitiveness Center's Professor of Finance and Director, Arturo Bris.
