Singapore's first East African embassy to open in Addis Ababa by 2027
Singapore will have its first East African embassy in Addis Ababa by 2027. It is using the Ethiopian capital as a gateway to deepen ties across Africa and engage the African Union. The embassy was announced as Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong marked his first official visit to Ethiopia. In a bilateral meeting with his Ethiopian counterpart Abiy Ahmed Ali, the two leaders discussed collaborations in areas such as skills development and carbon credits. Nadirah Zaidi reports.
