Major supermarkets and stallholders are bringing in up to 15 per cent more oranges this Chinese New Year compared to last year to meet demand. They are also bringing in new varieties to cater to changing taste preferences. One fruit seller in Tiong Bahru is seeing demand for oranges from Japan and South Korea rise about 20 per cent on-year.
