Firms with good HR practices keep new hires for longer: Singapore Opportunity Index
According to the Singapore Opportunity Index, workers in firms with good human resource practices are over twice as likely to stay beyond their first year. They also earn over three times more for the same jobs, and nearly nine in 10 get paid more at their next job. The key findings are based on career data from over 1,500 firms, covering almost half of Singapore's resident workforce. A new HR toolkit will also make it easier to put the index into action, including a website with guides for staff to learn new skills, and stay happier and longer at work. Nicolas Ng reports.
