Kampong Gelam Ramadan bazaar to have 15% fewer booths, stall rentals reduced by S$1,000
This year's Ramadan bazaar at Kampong Gelam will have 15% fewer booths to make way for more parking. Organisers hope the move will attract more visitors who plan to drive there. Rents have also been reduced by S$1,000, with the goal of passing the savings on to customers. There will be a total of 103 booths at this year's Gemilang Kampong Gelam. 30 of the booths along Baghdad Street will be relocated to Sultan Gate Park — which event organisers say will help save cost on security and road closures.
