Tan See Leng on CPF members with MediSave contributions in arrears
Self-employed persons (SEPs) are responsible for making their own MediSave contributions after declaring their income for the year. Fewer than a quarter are unable to meet their obligations, about half of whom have less than S$3,000 in outstanding liabilities. Most SEPs with outstanding liabilities have not met the Basic Healthcare Sum. Giving the figures in Parliament on Tuesday (Apr 5), Manpower Minister Tan See Leng outlined the assistance available to such individuals. He was responding to an MP’s questions.
