Tan See Leng on employment outcomes for local and overseas graduates

08:10 Min

Fresh graduate employment figures published by the Ministry of Manpower in September 2025 covered local graduates, not Singaporeans who graduated from overseas universities. The underemployment rate among overseas graduates aged 25 to 29 was slightly higher than for local graduates last year. Overall, both groups saw around nine in 10 employed, though local graduates saw lower unemployment and higher median wages. Manpower Minister Tan See Leng gave these details in parliament on Wednesday (Feb 4) in reply to an MP’s questions.
