US remains vital to continued peace, stability and prosperity of Southeast Asia, says PM Wong

Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has stressed the vital role that the United States has, in maintaining peace, stability and prosperity in Southeast Asia. Speaking at the ASEAN–US Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Mr Wong said continued actions and leadership from the US have enabled the region to thrive -- supporting growth, trade and jobs.  Mr Wong added ASEAN looks forward to strengthening the partnership with the US.
