In parliament on Thursday (Mar 5), NMP Kenneth Poon welcomed the continued investments by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth in youth engagement platforms, traineeships and pathways into employment. He proposed that preparing Singapore’s youth for the future must also include preparing them to develop a shared sense of national identity. He asked the Culture, Community and Youth Minister to share how opportunities for youth participation in community or civic initiatives are being structured to support the development of belonging and shared responsibility.
