In an interview with CNA, Georgetown University professor and a former chief economist at the World Bank, Shanta Devarajan said Sri Lanka will need to rely on bridge financing for a while, and is hopeful this can come from the likes of Japan and India. Mr Devarajan, who is also part of a government advisory panel formed to tackle Sri Lanka's debt crisis, said he is optimistic that the country will eventually secure funding from the International Monetary Fund.
