Many fast-growing and well-paying jobs are in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), said MP Nadia Ahmad Samdin. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Apr 5), she said she looks forward to hearing more about how STEM can be made even more accessible and relevant to girls at secondary or primary schools. She said she is heartened to note that there are plans to facilitate greater women representation in leadership roles, strengthen workplace fairness and introduce new tripartite guidelines, calling on employers to consider flexible work arrangement requests from employees fairly. She also hopes that societal norms will change as both parents become more actively involved in raising children. She hopes that Singapore will become fairer and more inclusive for generations of young women to come.
