White Paper on Singapore Women’s Development: Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim on the complementary role of men

11:31 Min

Men can and must help to instil the mindset that violent and misogynistic behaviours have no place in Singapore society, said MP Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim in Parliament on Tuesday (Apr 5). This is critical to tackle family violence and online harms. He pointed out that the approach to family violence in particular has to be inclusive for men as well, to ensure they get the help they need whether it be on parenting, anger management or conflict de-escalation. Mr Zhulkarnain said strengthening rehabilitation will preserve relationships and the family unit in the longer term.
