Xie Yao Quan on Building a Healthier SG
Healthier SG must be inclusive because it goes to the heart of Singapore's social compact, says MP Xie Yao Quan. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Oct 4), he stressed the need for it to be inclusive socio-economically and digitally. It must also be inclusive for all healthcare professionals. He said he wished the White Paper had included specific mention of how the Government plans to support the lower-income segment through additional differentiated measures, and improve seemingly basic things like nutrition, sleep and smoking cessation through targeted interventions. He also said that while digital channels are important, traditional channels and touchpoints must be provided as well.
