Yellen threatens sanctions against Chinese firms that help Russia's war in Ukraine
US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has finished four days of talks with China's economic policy chiefs. She said, while both sides have taken major steps to stabilise the world's most important bilateral relationship, there have been difficult conversations on the use of economic tools to enforce national security. Ms Yellen has stressed that Washington "doesn't want any surprises" from Beijing. She also threatened sanctions on Chinese firms that support Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
