Rashvin reports on various topics, including politics, the environment, health and social issues.

He started his journalism career in 2005 as a sportswriter with the Malaysian Today Press. He covered the 2005 SEA Games in Manila.

In 2006, he joined The Sunday Star where he worked on long-form features on a variety of subjects.

Rashvin later joined The Star’s online news desk in June 2013. Some of the major events he covered include the disappearance of MH370, the 2018 Malaysian general election, the fall of the Pakatan Harapan government and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since joining CNA in November 2021, he has documented a pivotal chapter of Malaysian history, reporting from the ground through the 2022 general election and the nation’s ongoing period of political transition. He has also covered other topics including sports, healthcare reform, the environment, the economy, ASEAN and social issues.

Rashvin has a degree in Electronics Engineering from the Multimedia University of Malaysia.
