Get creative at Pip’s Playbox

This gorgeous children’s arts space on Level 4 at the Esplanade has a loft, an arts and craft area, an outdoor play area, and a reading corner with books by Singapore writers and illustrators. Look out too for storytelling sessions and craft activities.

Take part in the arts at Gateway Kids Club

Unearth your kids’ imagination with arts-related activities that have a different theme monthly and that are ideal for children three to eight years old.

Visit the National Museum

Admission to many of its exhibitions and galleries is free. There are also various workshops and activities for children to try out their colouring, drawing and decorating skills.

Visit the museum… after dark

On the third Thursday evening of every month, the ArtScience Museum stays open till late, offering free performances and special one-for-one entry to exhibitions from 7pm to 10pm.

Explore and experience at the National Gallery

Besides an exciting line-up of programmes for children and families, the refreshed Keppel Centre for Art Education at the City Hall wing of the National Gallery offers immersive and interactive spaces for young visitors to learn about print-making processes, create virtual sculptures and explore playscapes.

As part of its community outreach program, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra hosts free concerts at various locations like the Singapore Botanic Gardens and Gardens by the Bay.

Catch a movie in an open-air cinema

You don’t have to watch a movie only in a film theatre. Movie Mob organises ad-hoc outdoor film screenings at venues like Fort Canning Park and Seletar Aerospace Park.

Be awed by The Spectra Light And Water Show at Marina Bay

Expect shooting water fountains accompanied by multicoloured laser beams and music every day from 8pm to 11pm on weekends. (Note: the show has been suspended till further notice due to the Covid-19 virus.)
