A big week for Chinese diplomacy, with two key events that could be seen as reflecting the country's progress and ambition. On Sunday and Monday, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit will be held in Tianjin, attended by leaders from more than 20 countries and heads of 10 international organisations. On Wednesday, there will be a military parade in Beijing to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II after Japan's surrender. This will mark the first military parade in the Chinese capital since 2019. Confirmed guests include India Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Deborah Wong reports from Tianjin.
