Here in Singapore, football fans are gearing up for what's set to bethe biggest FIFA World Cup tournament yet. To kick off the football fever, embassies of the three host nations - Canada, Mexico, and the United States - are joining local fans for a night of celebrations in the heart of the city-state. Held at CHIJMES, the venue will also be one of several spots across the country screening matches live throughout the next five weeks of the tournament. Ahead of the live screening of the tournament opener between Mexico and South Africa, Singapore Law Minister Edwin Tong says the World Cup is a platform to build friendships and understand different cultures.
