21:55 Min
In Parliament on Wednesday (Feb 24), NTUC Deputy Secretary-General Heng Chee How laid out five ways in which older workers can be supported through the COVID-19 crisis and beyond. He said efforts must continue to save and create jobs, especially in distressed sectors like aviation and retail. He also called for the raising of the statutory retirement and re-employment ages and CPF contributions to proceed as planned; to strengthen adoption of flexible work arrangements and skills building; and to better protect older workers’ health, including against vaccine-preventable diseases.
