Committee of Supply 2023 debate, Day 1: Edward Chia on supporting SMEs through Government procurement

What can the Ministry of Finance do to support the growth of promising small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through Government procurement? MP Edward Chia asked this in Parliament on Friday (Feb 24). He said increasing access to public sector contracts and streamlining processes to reduce the cost and time taken to transact with the Government at the tender and operational stages can significantly help SMEs and start-ups.
