Committee of Supply 2024 debate, Day 4: Wan Rizal on enabling ITE graduates

01:50 Min

In an economy that increasingly values lifelong learning, the move to encourage Institute of Technical Education (ITE) graduates aged 30 and below to pursue further education and skills enhancements is very timely, said MP Wan Rizal. Speaking in Parliament on Monday (Mar 4), he wanted to know the range of diploma programmes that will be covered and how flexible they will be for students to discover courses other than the ones they initially took. He also wanted to know if the Government would expand financial support mechanisms, such as scholarships and grants, to ensure the programmes are accessible to all ITE graduates who wish to further their education.
