As more couples choose to have children at a later age, more are likely to face difficulties in conceiving, said MP Hany Soh in parliament on Friday (Feb 28). She asked how the government can increase awareness of the risks and provide support. She suggested fertility education to aid couples with family planning, introducing grants for pre-IVF or fertility testing to improve the chances of success, and expanding grants to cover more IVF cycles as well as the costs of treatment in private clinics.
