Committee of Supply 2025 debate, Day 5: Ong Hua Han on more support for Special Educational Needs officers
In parliament on Thursday (Mar 6), NMP Ong Hua Han noted that according to the Ministry of Education (MOE), the number of Special Educational Needs (SEN) officers in mainstream schools has increased from around 450 in 2017 to about 680 as of July 2024. He asked MOE to share if it has a target ideal number of SEN officers in mainstream schools and how it plans to continue enhancing the support and development of SEN officers.
