In today's fragmented world, ASEAN is more important than ever to Singapore, and as a small state, Singapore's resilience and strategic relevance are strengthened when ASEAN remains cohesive and central, said MP Valerie Lee in parliament on Friday (Feb 27). She asked the Foreign Affairs Minister to share the latest on Singapore's ASEAN diplomatic strategy and wanted to know if there are other regions besides ASEAN that Singapore can replicate its cohesive diplomatic framework with. She also proposed to institutionalise leadership networks so that trust endures beyond personalities.
