Keith Chua on Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Amendment No. 3) Bill
Singapore’s domestic well-being depends on regional and global well-being, which is why the country must contribute to efforts to address mounting challenges ranging from geopolitical conflicts to financial uncertainties and climate change. NMP Keith Chua made this point in Parliament on Wednesday (Nov 22). He said if Singapore’s leaders are invited to perform international roles in their private capacities, they should be encouraged to do so if it is in the national interest. This will allow Singapore to contribute its expertise and experience to global solutions and actions, while participating in international forums offers the chance to bring back lessons that may improve its own policies and practices.
