White Paper on Singapore Women’s Development: Abdul Samad Abdul Wahab on respect, protection and care for women
The White Paper clearly reiterates the importance of the role of women, said NMP Abdul Samad Abdul Wahab. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Apr 5), he urged the Government to continue to explore more initiatives to provide continuous and necessary support for women in Singapore’s journey towards a fairer and more inclusive society. He said women should continue to be given more opportunities for higher roles, based on their capabilities and merits. Respect, protect and care for women at all times, he said. He also said the motion can be a catalyst for the tagline "every woman matters".
