Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 2: Sylvia Lim on managing noise and vibrations from RSAF aircraft

The need for a strong national defence is well understood by Singaporeans but the noise and vibrations from Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) aircraft can affect those living in areas close to the air base. MP Sylvia Lim, who raised this concern in Parliament on Monday (Mar 1), highlighted residents' feedback, including early morning and night flights, and the vibrations from the more powerful jets. She wanted to know how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected RSAF training locally.
